The Uniondale Fire Department responded to a reported brush fire by the Marriot Hotel and Nassau College in Uniondale. The smoke was visible from as far as westbury fire department headquarters as per a member on scene. With multiple mutual aid departments, the blaze was under control in approximately two hours.
